if there is no soccer stadium then it's not brazil

You mean one of the many stadiums built with shoddy construction which might partially collapse at any time because they were racing to get them finished for the world cup?

nope, it's worse! it's "fifa pattern" the best of the best all made with public founds, lots of corruption over here

Might collapse??? Already collapsed in the construction and killed some workers... all in the name of soccersucker FIFA

brazilian politicians thinking -''let's take the money from the schools and hospitals, to spend all and some more on the stadiums . yah BRBR HU3HU3''- don't come to FIFA world cup, thanks

Why would you tell people to not come?
Like any country Brasil has problems, but people will absolutely love the country! I don't know anyone who has visited and not enjoyed every minute with the amazing people and culture. Plus now we've spent the public money on the event why would you not want to profit from the tourists?

you say this because you dont live here, the streets smells like shit, homeless everywhere, the price of everything is going up 120% for the world cup. dont be stupid and come to brazil, spend your money on bike parts!!!

Mr marstheguy never been in Brazil and herd from his friends Brazil has the best prostitution and cocaine dealers in the world and thats an amazing place... he lives in a fantasy world that everything is green or maybe work for FIFA. Turists come to Brazil looking gor sex, drugs and no law at all so if yoy like that your welcome...

I've lived half my life in Brasil and am in my flat in Leblon right now. But from knowing other parts of the world I have something to compare Brasil to. Do you know what it's like to live in a big city that's polluted and without beautiful nature (granted Sao Paulo can fall into this)? Do you know what it's like in countries where everyone says Hi as they pass in the street and you can have an intimate conversation with someone within minutes of meeting?

Please don't be swayed by the sensationalist media that is Globo, open your eyes to see how much worse it could be and how slowly but surely Brasil IS making progress as a whole.

Other parts of the third world you mean...
Brazil is making progress for corrupt and ilegal people that doesnt even know how to speak portuguese and have ilegal houses and jobs, for overprice and corrupt companies that are bulding stadiuns and roads with prices 3 times higher than the beggining. For poor people that recive bolsa-parasita-familia (free money from governemet) and everyone but the ones that studied and worked legaly in the past years. Brazil is more ILEGAL ten times than in the last decade cause this shity PT governmet. Shure you have some good economy numbers but the bad numbers show that the country is going backwards and a lot. Economy is jamed nobody is buying nothing hospitals with patients in the floor with no medics and medicine, cops are all corrupt like never before, the city of Rio de Janeiro stinks like hell and the desorders is everywhere but what it look depends of the eyes that are looking for...

I don't see any point in a political debate. I just feel you should embrace the good sides of Brasil more, be a little more patriotic. And now that the World Cup is DEFINITELY going ahead; start backing it, the time to oppose was when they put the bid together.
