The last race of the year for City Downhill World Tour took place in Bilbao, Spain, on a really short track of about 600m and nearly a minute in length for the slower riders. 30 qualifying men and one woman took to the start, located in Etxebarria´s Park and raced to the finish line in Gas Square. The track is completely different than the initial design made by the organization due to a last-minute problem in one of the street crossings. Next year the track is set to be longer and steeper.
Final results:
With more than 10.000€ in prizes up for grabs, everyone was after a top 6 finish and in the end the times were extremely tight. Johannes Fischbach takes the overall with a time of 0:51.86.
MENTIONS:
@polcster
Big respect for the man who's in the rear and who is blind.
