The 3/4 helmet just doesn’t make sense to me.
All the extra heat from the side coverage.
But no dental/facial protection.
  • 35 7
And let’s be honest, it looks ridiculous.

@gnarlysipes: 3/4 helmets and detachable chin bars, same same, but different

It makes sense when you're riding an ebike: You don't want a FF when pedaling up a trail, but you still want more protection than a regular half-shell helmet when going down. Convertibles are also an option

But you can look like Dale Earnhardt.

@timoped: why would someone on an ebike prefer more protection on the way down than someone on a normal bike would?
  • 3 1
I think it does make sense. some people want the same coverage as a fullface on the back and side of the head, but care less about knocking some teeth out and looking like sam pilgrim. theres a lot of ways to fall in a normal half shell helmet you could die or do some serious damage like on the back/side of the head, where a 3/4 helmet would 100% protect more.

I tried my sons drop frame, the first thing I noticed was how quite it was, no wind noise. Actually didn’t mind it but I can see how it wouldn’t vent as well when it gets warmer..
  • 2 1
 @Merijn1: I think you mean 25% more
  • 1 0
@benstagram: I meant it would protect more for sure, I didn't mean to specify how much more it would protect.

Why is it called tech? Doesn't tech mean technology? This is products, or gear maybe?

It's pictures and prices, like a grocery store flyer.

I am just here chilling… getting older and STILL waiting for Vans to come out with SPD shoes like the ones in 2011.
  • 2 0
2011 was only a couple years ago, I'm sure they will release some soon.
  • 1 0
You could probably get them made fairly easily. Mike day had a pair of Nikes with spd mounts that were made for him. He raced BMX in those shoes.

I just bought one of the Anti Case Ankle Brace. The top of my ankle hurts like a mofo (anterior impingement) every time i go through a rock garden, and i live in Arizona the land of chunky rock gardens. Thanks shinning some light on this product, PB. I hope it helps.

Has anyone tried versus Space Brace ankle braces?

Is a $300 USD tailgate pad something people are stealing?
  • 4 0
More likely to have your gas stolen these days.
  • 1 0
 @hohmskullkrishten:
Yup.
I’ve got a tailgate pad. Not locked.
And a locking gas cap
(locked) on my truck

I can see a slight benefit from a 3/4 helmet, might save you from a hard slam on the side of your face. May save your cheekbone, but will do nothing for your jaw and chicklets.

Who else saw that the bluegrass helmet costs 2709$ US? lol
  • 6 1
 Inflation is nuts, man.
  • 3 0
The front center on those Rossi skis was pretty much in another time zone.
  • 3 0
 $2709.00 for a f***ing helmet?

I've got a Lefty that could really use some 321 help, is there any word on those adapters being made again?
  • 3 0
Checkout cyclinic in Australia, they have a fair bit of 321 stuff in stock for lefty’s
  • 2 0
@Dhjmn: I just checked them out, thanks for letting me know!
