Recap: Canada Cup Round 2 - Panorama, BC

Jul 7, 2014
by Bastien Major
Dusty and sunny could easily describe the conditions of this weekend's race and the track offered a good variety of terrain from technical rock gardens to steep rooted chutes. This year the organisers wanted the course to be a little bit longer so they added few pedaling sections and a new steep wood section followed with some great machine-made new features that will stay for the Bike-Park this summer.

Main word on this new jump was "keep it low". Here's Remi Gauvin from Commencal/Perform-X showing how it's done.

Sam Thibault from Lama Cycles/NS Bikes with a time of 2:42:83 was the fastest in Saturday's Timed Runs. Stephan Malette (right) is the Manager of the Trail Crew here in Panorama. Asking for feedback from the riders is always a good thing especially from the fastest.

Thanks Bastien for putting up an article with results and photos!! It's far from being your job to do that and it'd be so awesome if someone covered race events putting up that info for mtb fans to keep the sport rolling! Cheers!
