nice job, did you use an acid bath for stripping the paint off ???... I'm also 'almost' done with stripping mine, what a f*cking pain in the ass !!!...
Bead blasted mine at work, still a pain in he ass!
Dig through my TR450 folder, there's a pic of the chemical I used and it was EASY! Like a one hand operation!
bead blasting is the way to go...I used the spray on chemical stripper which took care of pretty much everything but still had to use a small wire brush with a bit of furniture stripper to clean up the paint struck in the welds...I also used a soft sand paper to flatten out some rough welds on the frame but was wondering if the welds could be weakened by removing the top part of the beads ???...
What's your end goal, raw or paint? If paint, just buff it smooth and shoot over it, if raw...clean it all up and let it dry for awhile, then hit it with the chemical stripper again, let it sit for 10 minutes (no longer!) Then work it with the brush, but don't scratch it up too bad. You can sand it a bit too but it might look funny
Actually, the ones your wife left under my bed leave me with such a warm fuzzy feeling every time I look at them that I'm going to make it match so I can feel the same way every time I ride my bike from now on...
Ha! Suck on that and happy new years broer!
I mailed my rebuttal to you. Huge box of Daisy's shit should be there Wednesday. Sent one to your folks in Yankton too with your return address on there. Boy they gonna be pissed when the spring loaded ejector releases.
