I've owned a coil hlr vengeance for more than 2 years now, and have been blown away. Still going strong and only 1 minor rebuild. I have a spare tapered set of uppers, so I can honestly see this thing lasting another 5. The mattoc does look promising for sure. I love the raw frame. Did you seal it?

Ya its got a clear powder coat over it. Just pre baked it then did the powder clear. No sand blasting or any thing. There is still the sharpy on it that labeled what tubing it was from school. It rides so good the bb is really low and manuals like crazy. The fork was great on the first ride still playing with the nobs though.

It came out perfect, and props on the build! That fork is badass. Aside from a diff. rear tire, thats almost exactly how I would build up a 650b hardtail. Have you had a chance to ride it yet?

Thanks man. I really wanted to do a Mattoc but no straight steer tube option the vengeance was my only option. Not a bad one though. Getting out on it tomorrow. I wanted to play around with it tonight a bit. I think I will prob put a rock razor on the back pretty soon.
