Rare prototype Banshee Prime sz L

$550 USD
Make an offer! This is one of only 20 or so made, so the price is set to what I feel is reasonable for the low miles on it. I bought this from a fellow PB'er back in 2016, and hate to see it go, but need funds for my car. I haven't been able to ride as much the last few years, and when I do I usually end up on my hardtail. This thing probably saw less than 100 miles a year. I ran it with both 29" wheels (awesome) and 27.5"x2.8" (super comfy and grippy but the BB was a bit too low). This was one of the prototype bikes Banshee made to develop the v2 Prime, and I'm only the 2nd owner. The previous owner ended up purchasing a production model as soon as they came out, so it wasn't ridden much before me either. Being a prototype, it was super overbuilt and completely solid. There are no cracks anywhere, only a few tiny scratches that didn't sand out. It was originally clear coated raw aluminum, which I painted black before assembling it. In preparation to sell, I stripped it completely and sanded it to 200 grit then gave it a quick scuff coat with green then red scotch brite pads. It's ready to paint, or you can polish it. All new bearings in the frame, with the exception of the 2 bearings in the upper linkage which still move freely. Comes with the derailleur hanger and a Rock Shox Monarch R piggyback shock - size 200x57mm - tuned for the frame. It could use a rebuild but was working fine when I disassembled the bike. I have an old headset for it but they're cheap and not worth including - if you really want it, I'll throw it in for +$10. It uses a standard 73mm threaded BB, 135mm QR rear end (Banshee archive lists thru-axle which came with the production models, I asked banshee if the dropouts can be updated - nope). No seat collar included - 34.9mm size. Has ISCG mounts. Here is the link to the Banshee past models archive - https://www.bansheebikes.com/past-model-archive Message me with any questions. Local pickup preferred, but I'll ship within the continental US for $60. No shipping outside the lower 48, sorry. Thanks for looking!
