 Hi Mozz,
glad you like it.. personally I am running it on 26" wheels. I know it is designed around the 650b but I find it absolutely fine on the 26". I run a large volume Continental Rubber Queen/Mountain King tyre so this adds a little to the rotation size of the wheel where some other tyres would have a smaller profile.
I f you are thinking of getting on I would recommend it 100%. She rides like a dream and is by far the best hardtail I have ever ridden.

Cheers for replying man. Yeah man been thinking about getting one and doing a similar build for an interim period, using a set of Nukeproof 26in wheels, 2.7 high rollers and a lowered totem i've got kicking around. Id eventually go 650 with a pike but not in a rush.

that's my thinking on this project.. I had the Marzocchi 55ti fork already.. eventually I will put a 650b Pike on this frame as well. In its 26" format It took everything I threw at it in Whistler this summer without any problem. I'm more of a DH rider so this build was to cope with the more gravity fed riding as apposed to XC etc..
don't get me wrong though, I have also put it around some trail centres and some natural riding across the UK and she flies.. I can honestly say if you did get your hands on one you would not be disappointed.

Nice. Seriously considering this frame. the numbers and finish are stunning. The UK brands sure know how to design and build frames. any issues so far? tire clearance, frame coating etc. Looking at slowing migrating over to a 27.5 bike and glad to hear you can run it 26". good stepping stone purchase if you know what I mean.

Hey man, Thanks for the message and glad you like the ride. I've had no problems what so ever with tyre clearance and I ride mostly here in the U.K. with our weather conditions, frame finish or anything really. The bike really does ride like a dream. I can not say how good she is because you just wouldn't believe it..lol
running her in a 1x9 with a Hope Narrow wide 32 on the front and Saint on the rear as she isn't really build for long pedalling, although I have had her on some serious rides with no issues on running out of gears etc.. XT brakes/ice tech rotors and an SLX crank set with an E13 bash guard. The head tube is 44mm and I'm running a 1 1/8 fork in a Hope integrated headset. Mavic EN521 rims on Superstar Hubs in the same green as the frame.

cool thanks for the response. I love the EN521s. I've got a set with Hope hubs and love them. Which rear tire are you running and what size?

I'm running Conti Rubber Queen or Trail king as they are now called in 2.2. I find these tyres to have a large volume and fantastic grip levels. I have also run this bike with Der Kaiser Projekt 2.4's with no problem of clearance etc.. I always go for the Black Chilli versions of the Conti's as it offers much better grip levels.

cool. I can't stop looking at the Stanton website. The Ti switchback....wow. Must work...but caaaaaan't!

Yeah the Ti version is so sick but that price is just way out of my league.. I'll just stick with the steel version for now..

Hello, loving your switchback mate. Been considering getting one myself. Are you running 26 or 650 wheels in it?
