How did you cut the log? I'm looking to do some similar stuff to my trail but am not sure where to start with wooden features...

I cut free hand with a chainsaw. It just takes a lot of practice. I've cut hundreds and hundreds of board feet free hand for the past 7 years. A big, strong saw and a sharp chain helps big time, but again, its all practise.

Easy skinny, just two feet off the ground, clean fall zone.

 I love it!

Thanks! It is such a great area to build. Amazing hillside, open fir/pine forest... can't wait to get back to work tomorrow ;-)

Thanks! I have to admit, I'm not the best skinny rider... so like to build them lower with a clean fall zone. Makes it easier to commit and get on them.

Safety is always better than injury. I know for myself when Im building trails I always think about the lesser of a rider who might get hurt. I don't like the responsibility of knowing a section I built took someone out! ahhahah
