So here we have installed the Shimano polymer coated derailleur cable that I purchased about 3 months ago. No idea if it will make any difference. I've noticed this cable doesn't fray after cutting. Also fitted the Uber bike metal cable ferrules but the rear one is covered by the piece of shrink tube. Hopefully these will help to keep my gear shitfing nice and slick.

Are you going to trim that cable or what? Smile

I've cut 10 inches of the end. I like to leave a bit extra so you have a bit to hold to pull it tight.

Put a cap on it. I managed to get a life time amount of them from my LBS for virtually nothing!

Yeah I have one or two and also I bought another 5 for 15p each. I'll probably stick one on.

I bought a bottle of 100 for £5.99 on CRC! I guess still too much cable around but it's your choice.

Yeah I put a cap on it and also cut a little bit more cable off.

I was looking to buy an amount of them but thought am I really going to use that many. I have seen 40 black bbb caps for about £3. I might get those. Or some Shimano silver caps...
