 annoying? yes. Does it happen often or regularly? No. This only happens if you really crash mega hard, like say comming up short on a high speed 30 foot gap or something. I did it to my bike(the white one in this album) on a high speed crash where the bike slammed in a tree. Perhaps another bike would blow the rear shock in a simillar crash.

 this whole phenomenon is still perplexing to me but yes, it is a combination of hard impact and mega rebound action that forces the carbone link behind the seat post. Maby the carbone link flexes or something Im not to sure. But notice where the link is sitting, u can see its caught behind the seat post frame.

 so what happened exactly? i dont understand whats going on in the pic.. is it that the swing arm just got super extended out when the shock rebounded?

 its an easy fix, just undo the top two screws of the pivot and re install, then keep riding if you dont need to go to the hospital.

 this is the one thing that annoy's me on the v10's.
