 Is that a wooden pavement?

 it is a wooden deck mixed with concrete goodness

 nothing like racing on wet wood and stairs only

 yeah.. great idea. those stone stairs are more safely to ride

 Leaving racing aspect aside I consider this to be very beautiful urban surface. It's not so easy to find something like that in Europe.
