My first DH rig. Brilliant for learning DH on, the set up is perfect and comes with a range of toys that aren't bottom of the range. The price new isn't too steep and second hand is very feasible. Not a huge upkeep and parts are readily available. Would definitely recommend. Wont be getting rid of mine any time soon, should see me through a few more race seasons before I get bored!

Small was perfect for me as I am a 5ft 1 woman.

awesome bike for entry level rider through to the serious and even pro rider.
extreemly capable of anything that can be thrown its way. fully adjustable and versatile as a dj bike through freeride to full on downhill.
the frame will take any front forks, 1.5"- 1 1/8th- tapered. rear shock can be changed using different shock mounts. chainstay length can be changed by 10mm in either direction or even replaced by a rear 12mm maxle.
i have the 2011 green version, upgraded to the same directmount stem as 2012, but the 2011 forks are RC domains where 2012 are just R domains. not top of the range but work flawlessly as a good strong basic 200mm travel fork capable of big hits.

only downside is the cheese headset. iv riden it for 5 months, not particularly hard and the bearing cups are knackered....a common fault apparently.

Awesome as can be! Guys who dropped this much on a frame alone must be saying WTF! Well, made, and put together. Super reliable and fun at every corner/drop/jump. Not a thing I would change!

I've got the frame built up with custom parts, and after riding many dh/fr frames this has been my favorite. So playful and fun to ride. Don't hesitate just get one.

By brother has this bike and it's an fun, extremely playful bike. I however have a Scott genius LT and I've gone though 4 shocks. The local Scott rep. here in Washington state told me they would not be helping me out at all, even though she said she has also had problems with her LT 10. Just want you guys to know what your getting into when buying a Scott.

I disagree, Scott is a great brand and they are nothing like you described them. They are a brilliant company and they work really hard creating high quality products for all extreme athletes and are very successful. You shouldn't talk bad about them, especially when you can't create such high quality products like them.

absolute dream to ride, little on the heavy side but a few upgraded components and it has the potential to be one of the best bikes you can buy.

Smooth, responsive, fast, light on the pocket and very strong. Great bike for the money. See the FR30 for a more budget but nontheless great option.
