The older I get, I really don't slow down, I just wear more padding.

Schwalbe Magic Mary 2.6" Apex - Review
The Guide RE's are just regular "R" brake levers coupled with the Code calipers - the code's have better stopping power for the heavier assist e-bikes. The RE designation is marketing to seem like it's made specifically for an e-bike.

The US Open of Mountain Biking Heads to Killington Resort in 2018, Adds Enduro
@mbiker35: If you know it's going to be good weather - buy them on line - $44 +tax - like they need to charge tax! Hopefully Plattekill won't completely go away.

The US Open of Mountain Biking Heads to Killington Resort in 2018, Adds Enduro
@lifeofloon: Most of those riders who are beginners and intermediates will most likely never advance to expert. Going from easy paved hard packed dirt luge runs on a trail bike to something like Scarecrow (old trail 7) and Low Rider is more than a leap. They also need to keep the experts coming - after all we are most likely the guys who started going back in the day when nobody knew of DH biking at the resorts. There are truly few intermediate trails. If you want the intermediate trails to DH I suggest you try Sugarbush. They are largely all intermediate trails (Yes they call some BD.) BTW - I was advocating a WC event at Killington for the past two decades. Plattekill, if you haven't been, is truly the home of the advanced DH biker.

@sfrucian: I've been riding Killington for over 20 years - and every other venue in NE and NY for that matter - I do pretty damn well on Low Rider and the true black diamonds. I don't do jump trails - could care less. That's not mountain biking - it's BMX and DJ. Smooth flow trails- like Sideshow and the stuff at Snowsend (they call it no less Intermediate or black diamond ) - No thank you. My skills are beyond that. There is not a single trail at Killington that has been created since it's opening - years ago - other than what GL has done. All the original stuff is what there is for "gnar". GL only makes the same trail over and over again every where they go. Go to Sugarbush, Plattekill or hit the WC or Citizens at Windham. Please no need to be insulting.

Just DO NOT let Gravity Logic have a hand in it - They just pretty much paved over most of Killington. Killy needs a real DH run off the Gondola all the way down and they should also put in for a world cup! They have all the amenities to make it great.

John Tomac: American Mountain Bike Legend - Video
He didn't do such a bad job as Gwin's trainer either. I wonder if he's still involved with Aaron. He was the man. Hands down - the most versatile biker there was, is or will be.

Opinion: Save the DH Bike?
Bike parks are killing the DH bike - their trails are too easy, and largely unjustifiable on a DH bike - They don't put in expert trails - any new stuff is non-tech beginner crap and they call some of it intermediate. What suffices for DH is the little used, never maintained, heavily eroded straight down lines that are not all that fun to ride. Imagine going skiing and all they had at each resort was one, maybe two expert runs and they sucked. Why would I ski there - only difference is you can use the same equipment in skiing. What is it with these paved jump trails? One is enough at each park. Table tops are not something you encounter on the mountains - drops and natural jumps are. Please Pattekill, NY don't abandon the DH biker - we need you.

Dan's Red Bull Hardline GoPro Run - Video
I think Dan could have won it. If he went down with the intent and just hammered, instead of showboating some of the jumps and then just do a manual across the line - he damn well could have won this year.
