Starting today, April 27th and running through May 10th, voting is now LIVE for the Bell Built West Coast semifinalists. Check out the entrants below and cast your vote!

Red Rock Park MTB, Gallup, NM

Sponsor: Adventure Gallup and Beyond

Red Rock Park is best known for its 400' tall red sandstone cliffs. With large areas of slickrock the trail will offer jumps, drops, and multiple lines down steep slopes with plenty of room for interpretation.

Cedar Creek DH Trail, Ruidoso, NM

Sponsor: Bicycle Ruidoso

The Cedar Creek DH trail will pass through ravines and down ridgelines as it descends through an open conifer forest. At 1.3 miles, the trail will take advantage of the natural terrain but also highlight big jumps and berms for a breathtaking descent.

Spirit Mountain Bike Park, Duluth, MN

Sponsor: Cyclists of Gitchee Gumee Shores (COGGS)

Spirit Mountain already offers the best lift-served riding in the Upper Midwest and the proposed new descent will up the ante by taking advantage of the mountain's abundant bedrock for steep roll downs, hucks, and rock gardens.

Midwest really needs some help for this type of riding. Spirit man has around 700 vertical, and great terrain. Really a ton of potential and would really help the Midwest riders catch up to people in more prominent riding locations. Vote for spirit mountain!

I live in Ruidoso and our only jump trail just got bulldozed by the Forest Service. Please vote for us, we need this trail.

I voted for Spirit MTB Park The combination of extensive XC trails combined with lift access near an urban environment does it for me. The established trails already there seem the best of the three contestants, and the potential is there. The other two contestants seemed to put in less of an effort both into the video and the commitment of members.

Please vote for Cedar Creek. The Ruidoso NM location fills a big gap in downhill riding trails, and would be the most effective in spreading mountain biking to a vast region!

I've done the XC in Cloudcroft NM and the dirt there is awesome. That are is so far south and really has no DH which is a shame because there is the potential for so much descending with great technical features. My vote is Ruidoso.

Vote Spirit Mountain! It's the only lift access bike park for hours and hours in any direction and part of a city that is going to be a massive hub for biking in a few years if this happens!

How did MN get in on the "west coast" voting????
  • 1 0
As the title states, this is "central" voting. West coast nominees were posted April 13th and voting ended yesterday. Reno NV, Mariposa CA and Alpine OR were the finalists there.

Vote Spirit Mountain! Rode around the area last summer and it's got lots of potential and this will only make it better!

I think red rock would be the coolest place to receive the dough, but it would be nice to see more lift access in the midwest.
  • 2 3
Its a trade off by going with either one... I voted for the Red Rock simply because of how original it would be.
