Trans-Cascadia Dream Bike Contest Winner Announced

Congratulations to Paola Kendrick who won the Ten for Trails: Santa Cruz - Shimano Equipped Dream Bike Contest! When we called Paola she was in the middle of a museum tour and had to keep our conversations short, but after we followed up with her on email, this is what she had to say, "my husband Joe and I made a donation to your cause to support [our son-in-law] Byron in the [Trans-Cascadia] race."



She is even giving the bike to Byron and he will be choosing the recipient of the $3000 to be donated to a trail advocacy group, "Byron’s response was one of pure joy! He put it in a text, because remember I was in a museum and shouldn’t have been on my phone in the first place! [He wrote] 'just when I thought I could not be happier with my family vacation and safely completing an epic backcountry race - this just elevated my stoke!" Paola is definitely the hero of her mountain biking family today, "my daughter posted on FB that I am 'Officially the coolest mother-in-law in the whole world!”
