The plan was to capture some footage for our university bike club but for some reason Saturday morning and students don't get on too well. What was to have been a full day shooting turning into a couple of hours towards the end of the day. Worse still there was no option for further days as Kit was off home the next day. We ended up at Glentress, the nearest trail centre and the weather was against us from the start - excellent.

It seemed to be raining at some level for almost the entirety of the shoot but at least it was interrupted by brief interludes of respite when we could actually get on with the filming. And as a reward the inclement weather brought down some nice mist into the forest making for some nice backgrounds to Joe and Kit's riding. Ah the riders - Joe and Kit hungover from the last nights adventures, still, they managed to thread some nice lines through the mix of trails we chose - a bit of the black trail here and some enduro stage there.

I guess one should always try to make conditions whatever they may be.

 Nice to see some relatively unknown(to some, anyway) trails at Glentress. I've ridden them all and I have to say they are 1000% than the actual official trails.

 Well some of the trails in this video, although used as a one-off in the EWS, are actually Glentress Walking trails to be enjoyed by walkers who have every right to the forest as the bikers. They shouldn't be used in the same way the biking trails shouldn't be walked on.

 Incorrect about the use of walking trails, there is the middle of Stage 4 of the EWS and various bits of the Black descent from Ewok's Village. Although even if it was, in Scotland we have open land access laws and any path can be used responsibly by anyone, as a fellow Scot I'm surprised you don't know that.

 Ah I just misread Browner's comment but yeah we were using it because its an enduro stage much like we regularly ride the innerduro stuff, its not on the Glentress walking route or at least not obviously so - by which I mean it has berms and bumps to gap and no signs

 It is a remix of a song by Foster The People. Not the best of remixes. Foster The People is a band that is either an acquired taste.. ..Or you hate it always.

 Genuine question - what would you suggest instead? I like to go for a chill vibe with all my videos - some heading towards atmospheric - which often takes me to chillstep but I realize that's not everybody's cup of tea. I tend to use free music as well to reduce copyright concerns.

 I think its a good genre to choose from if that is what you like, I would just avoid the ones with lyrics and give it a try, that usually helps keep it more enjoyable for most people. Personally I like Foster The People, but as you said, not everyones cup of tea!
