Getting in touch with nature during Friday's practice session. Nose tapping a rock in Bunnywalk with lovely foreground fern to frame Pat.
Scrubs are the aim of the game when racing. The less time and height in the air leads to a faster time and more opportunity to pedal to the finish. On Sunday morning, riders had a short window of practice - with the chairlift opening at 8:30 and closing at 9 for the track to be cleared by 9:30, riders only had limited time to get in practice. Unfortunately, Pat was only able to do one run, nevertheless, it ended up paying off. He wasn't too tired after seeding and took the win by a whopping 8.08 seconds.
Looking forward to Toowoomba in March, Pat plans to train to the best of his abilities as it.s a physically demanding, pedally course.
Setting up for the inside drop in Bunnywalk. One where you have to let the front wheel roll over and lift up the back to be back on the ground with enough time to make the sharp left-right as you land.
Checking a turn in Bunnywalk during filming on Friday morning.
Pat showing off his Santacruz V10 Carbon with his fresh RockShor Vivid coil.
Heading up on the chair for another run on Saturday morning.
