I got blown up about 3 weeks ago, when i can get back on a bike i will defiantly be able to ride like that... its proof that if you get seriously injured you ride better?
I broke my tibia down to the growth plate in the ankle and i broke the growth plate in 4 pieces about 3 and a half weeks ago and yes it is true you ride better ...learning from your mistakes
I broke my left collar bone, with a rotator cuff injury. 4 months later i was back on the saddle with another month of easy riding before i was "riding better". You WILL learn from your mistakes....
i can say yes, you do ride better after an injury, well for me at least, i broke my radius and alna in my left arm, snapped them both in half and ive gone on about 5-6 rides since and im feeling faster. for me it took a serious injury to realize how much i actually love the sport. keep shredding Ian!
i can say yes as well, i had to different knee injuries that needed surgery and messed up shoulder all at different times, and after having to miss a hole riding season i came back this year better then ever.
upon hearing several comments on PB using my eyes, I have come to the conclusion that i must, in some way or form, take it upon myself to injure myself and then i will ride better. It is said that if I break my arm i will be able to ride cat 1 and win. upon multiple breaking of appendages, I shall be riding on a pro level and will be sponsered before i even ride agian. If I somehow take it upon myself to break my back, pelivic bone, and almost bleed to death in one instance, I shall be riding along the level of Sam Hill & Danny Hart. I will not go into the process of how to become Gwin but know it is something just short of death.
why neg prop me...i was making a joke because mike mo did one on a road bike awhile back and Ian is the master at front flips...he frontied a glory dh bike.....just sarcasm so chill. keep killin it Ian
i dunno what all you guys are on about with injuries making you a better rider. I hit my hand real hard on the desk while jerkin it the other day and now its just way harder to hold onto my bars!
hahaha 'hardcore' roadies the world over just slit their wrists seeing his garb on that road bike.. my new hero! (along with Sam Hill for rocking shorts, T, and flats when riding with Alberto SpanishBeef Contador
Great to see you back shredding!!! Biking feels better than ever after returning from injury eh?!! My tib-fib is still sore after 5 months, but my smile makes up for it!!! Cheers!!
