Thanks man. Not trying to bring down the internet, since most of them started off like me and were able to capitalize at the right time. just trying to get people out there and ride.

I am a proud owner of a LBS and can tell you that the business side of this market sucks. I would love to carry all of the cool tricked out stuff that people want but never want to open up their wallets for. The internet has been a major downfall for the biking business because of the few major outlets that sell and strip bikes for parts and sell them just above the cost. I have people come in all the time asking questions so they can go somewhere else to shop and it stings a bit but I still give out the info they want. I am not here to steer you in the wrong direction, but I would appreciate if you would give me a chance to get you the parts before you buy somewhere else. I rely on my service to make up for the sub par margins that sales bring in. I am the only shop out of 3 in town that will work on everything that walks through the door to get you riding again. That is how we are known for our great service and customer support. Try to get that from one of the online shops that you purchased at, or try to get them to build that bike or install the part. Worst yet is when you break something and want me to bend over backwards for you to get it warrantied. The fact is that I am never going to be rich in this business, but I know that I am responsible for getting a lot of people out on the road and trail everyday and that what the LBS should be there for.
