Trek Remedy 9.8 Custom

$2800 USD
This bike started life as a 2018 Trek Remedy 9.8. Shortly after purchasing the bike a rock strike damaged the main frame which was then replaced under warranty with the full carbon frame set from the Remedy 9.9. Before building it up, the new frame was covered in a full Invisiframe protection kit as well as additional down tube and bottom bracket protection in the form of Lizard Skins Carbon Leather. There are two finger tip sized scraps in the Invisiframe from a lift attendants gloves on a hot day over the summer but those are the only blemishes in the frame. The fork stantions are free on any scratches and save for a few scrapes to the fork deals and the clear coat on the carbon handlebar, the bike is pristine. The only changes from the stock build are the Shimano XT (M8000) brakes, the Debonair air shaft which was swapped for the stock air spring that came in the fork and the X01 Eagle chain that was installed along with a new cassette and chainring after the first season of riding was finished. This bike was ridden for two seasons and has been constantly maintained by an obsessive bicycle mechanic (me). The fork was serviced regularly and only has 15 hours of riding on it since it’s las oil and seal change. The rear shock was replaced under warranty with the updated Debonair Reaktiv Thru shaft model while in for service and has zero hours of use. The rear rim had a few dings so I laced in a new rim that has not been ridden on since. The both pairs of brake pads have less than 10 rides on the brakes have just been bled. The drivetrain has one season of riding on it and is in very good condition. The current tires include a 2.3” Bontrager XR5 on the front and a 2.3” Bontrager SE5 on the rear. Both tires have plenty of tread life left but I will mention that the rear tire does currently have a dyna plug filling a small puncture at the base of a shoulder knob. I rode the bike 4 times with the plug and it never leaked. In total I spent 3 seasons on this version of the Remedy and it has done everything I have asked if it and more. I couldn’t have asked for a more reliable and capable bike for any of the varied riding conditions that the trails in the Northeast can provide. I would prefer local pickup for the bike but am willing to ship the bike within the lower 48 states. The bike would be professionally packed and shipped via Bike Flights. I am will cover half the cost of ground shipping to anyone who makes a reasonable offer and makes a successful PayPal payment. Thanks for looking and feel free to contact me with any questions.

There is a very shallow dent on the non-drive side of the fork lowers from a crash 2 months ago as well as a small scratch in the fork stantion. The scratch has been wet sanded and sealed to avoid any damage to seals of bushings and the dent has not caused any interference in the operation of the fork. This has been a fantastic bike for me and am only parting with it in order to purchase a 2018 Remedy. Feel free to message me with any questions or to request more photos. Thanks for looking.

Trek Slash 9.8 19.5" ***PRICE DROP***

$3099 USD
For sale is my 2016 Trek Slash 9.8 in a 19.5" frame size. The bike was purchased in mid-April of this year and has roughly 200 miles of riding on it right now. This is my second Slash and is one of the most capable bikes I have ridden in the last few years while still being fun to ride when the trail isn't pointed directly downhill. The only reason I am selling this bike is due to an injury that won't let me ride the Slash like it deserves to be ridden this season. I made some changes to the component spec when the bike was first built up so most of those will be coming off and some brand new, never ridden parts will be re-installed. The stock tires, chain, chainring, saddle, dropper post and handlebar will all be swapped out from what is pictured on the bike. The items that will stay with the bike are the upgraded cassette (X1 instead of the stock GX cassette) and the Rockshox Lyrik RC Dual Position 130-160 Fork. The stock spec calls for a Pike on this bike but this bike shipped with a Lyrik and it made the bike even more capable when the trails got really rowdy. If you have any more questions about the spec or would like more photos. feel free to ask.
