Hayes Announces New XC Group Featuring a Familiar Name
I was gonna say. Lack of coffee, too much, or a sticky space bar? Probably Covid-can’t-be-arsed syndrome.

Except those are footpaths and illegal to ride, not a great means for a tourism campaign.

Charge Mixer 8 (Alfine)

$350 GBP
Charge Mixer 8 (Alfine) Size Medium (54). Very little miles. Was bought new to commute the couple miles to and from my previous job and has otherwise sat in a shed only been brought out for the odd pootle up the lane (I spend more time riding MTB). The RSPZ mudguards and Schwalbe CX Comp tyres were put on to increase clearance for use on winter, country roads but I still have the originals, otherwise the spec is mostly standard; FSA Vero crankset in the Charge eccentric BB, Alex XD-lite rims on a Shimano M435 up front and Alfine 8 unit at the back. Will come with Shimano M520 half cleat/half flat pedals that have barely been used, a bottle cage, tool bottle and pump. Elsewhere is all the original charge finishing gear with no significant wear. The frame has a few blemishes in the top tube from storage and spending time in the stand but otherwise is in good condition with just a couple usual light, stone chips. A lot of the out the box safety/quality control stickers are still on various components of this bike and I still have the original mudguards and tanned sidewall Kenda tyres to go with. The only point I would like to make is the ProMax Decipher disc brakes the bike came with are terrible. They function fine but I've had to play around with them periodically and have alway intended to replace them with some Shimano type. I can do this for the buyer if the asking price is fulfilled but appreciate somebody may have their own preference as to what brakes to fit. Before it went into retirement the Alfine unit was serviced by Studio Velo in Castle Douglas and a new chain was fitted, the chain now shows small signs of surface rust purely from sitting in the shed unused. I have an unused rear rack and spare tubes that the buyer can have and various saddlebags, multitools etc that can be negotiated as part of the sale if required.
