it looks to me that the gap between the shell and the adapter is defo too large. Did you try to remove it and get it screwed on again? Please find a vid from sunrace on application of this adapter to a wheel. https://youtu.be/X8dziyBXSmc

Hi bud, I can see you are using the xd adapter for the freehub. Did you get it separately or did this come with a sunrace cassette you are trying to fit?
I've messaged sunrace looking for some answers, but they're not responding. This looks like a proper hassle. Did you consider swapping a freehub body to a hg one just so it is compatible with shimano/ hg style sram products? Cheers, Richie

The bike is in good condition with all components working the way they are intended to. Minor scratches are scattered through the frame, however, that in no way affects the quality of the ride. The chain and the cassette have plenty of life left.
