The Ibis DV9 Hardtail is Back
I think it's great they are doing keeping this going! As a old xc racer I'd suggest they add a Deore build that drops the stock wheels and upgrades to something lighter. For instance, HUNT makes an alloy wheelset around $500 that's aboug 1500 grams. With something along those lines they could come in around the same price as the NGX or SLX builds, and with lightweight younger riders, those wheels would go a long way into improving performance.

Hunt Releases New 'Proven' XC & Enduro Carbon Wheels
Love that XC wheel, do wish there was a middle version, same width, little burlier, but still like 1600ish grams.

1,300 Watt Sprints - Vlad Dascalu's Power Data Shows How Fit You Have to Be For a World Cup XC Podium
@wyorider: does anyone remember the little YouTube video race Burry Stander did against one of the Schlecks? (it was a Specialized thing?) Burry beat him pretty solidily. I'd guess it was easyier for Burry to ride the road well than is was for Schleck to ride the MTB well.

Review: Crankbrothers' New Highline 11 Dropper Post Uses Carbon & Titanium to Save Weight
I see lots of love here for the OneUp. I've had mixed reviews. Mine always has excessive lateral play in it, and I have to monitor the air/wiper to keep it returning consistently. It works, but I can't say it's everything I had hoped for. I did like the price though. My PWN is better.

MicroShift Launches 1x Drivetrain For 20" Wheel Bikes (And Up)
Seems to me that the vast majority of kids bikes don't have a freehub body rear wheel (unless you're buying the higher end stufff). Is there a way to remedy that? I guess I could relace my kid's rear wheels with new hubs, but does anyone have a lead on affordable 20" and 24" rear wheels with freehubs that can still work with v-brakes?

First Look: Känguru's Marsupial Pouch DIY Frame Storage Conversion Kit
I think if you swap in titanium bolts, the weight gain would be negligible, b/c you're taking out structural carbon and just replacing it with plastic. Seems like a good idea that even weight weenies can get behind.
