Well, if they just patented it in the US, then all these guys from other countries could make it no problem. As well, their patent is only valid as long as they're going to sue people/companies that make them (defent their patent) which they're probably not going to do just for some grom (mainly because they won't know about it). I can see if some shop started to mass produce them, something might happen... but there's really nothing stopping any grom from making these in his garage for his own purposes.
