Transition Double *FREE SHIPPING* 1300 OBO

$1300 USD
2011 Transition Double Size L This grape color is classic! I really love this bike – I haven’t ridden it nearly as much as I would have liked to due to an injury, which is part of the reason I’m selling it. I’d really like to see it go to a good home. This has been one of the most fun bikes I have ever owned- awesome on the trails, and awesome at the jumps as well! You can set the fork at 130mm or 160mm for park and trail riding, and at 100mm for the jumps. Truly an awesome bike! Plus being able to adjust the rear travel between 80mm and 100mm can really help dial it in. I bought the frame at the end of 2011 and built the bike over the winter. I was injured in the winter and have hardly ridden it since! So here’s what makes up this custom build: - 2011 Double frame with Fox Float RP2 rear shock - Extra stickers and manual that came with the frame - Touchup paint that came with the frame - Spare derailleur hanger – (Just in case) - Fox TALAS front fork adjustable at 100/130/160 and freshly back from a factory service with no rides yet - Easton 750mm havoc bars - Hayes Stroker Ace brakes with 4-piston calipers - Atomlab Pimp Wheelset w/a few extra spokes and nipples - SRAM X7 9-speed Shifter / Derailleur and PG-970 cassette - Truevativ Descendant cranks (175) with e13 “the hive” Guidering 7075 Al 36 tooth front chainring - e13 LG-1 Chainguide - ODI Rogue Lock-on grips - SDG F*Style seat - Easton Havoc Seat Post - Kenda Slant Six 120 TPI tires in great condition Here's a link to the youtube vid on the bike from Transition: https://youtu.be/OXkI10Z_hD8 (Lars has a 160mm travel fork on it for the vid) Here is a link to the 2010 model information: http://www.transitionbikes.com/BlogImages/KB_2010Double.pdf (This frame is similar to 2010, just a much more awesome color!) PM me with any questions - Thanks for looking! Payment through PayPal only please!

Leatt DBX Comp II

$150 USD
Leatt DBX comp II I bought this new at the end of last year and opened it up and set it up for myself. Then I never used it. It is in new condition and comes in the box with all the parts (even the strap.) It is light weight and I really liked how it fit when I put it on with my helmet. Being adjustable front and back leaves a lot of room to get it just right. It’s a good piece of gear, and I hate to see it sit around unused. Please message me with any questions. The price is $150 with shipping included within the lower 48 states. Payment through PayPal only.

Pinkbike Poll: Is it the Rider or the Bike?
If you all haven't seen the Klunking video with Lars, I highly recommend it! I'm not saying anything about the bike vs. rider thing- it's just interesting to see how a pro handles the different bikes... His skills are solid, but the type of terrain and speeds he rides is kinda bike dependent. http://vimeo.com/32425530 You can see the difference between the klunker and how he rides his DH rig or the double in other videos. such as these: http://vimeo.com/50998782 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeHc_Enmjuc

Video: Elm Creek Bike Park - Maple Grove MN
I agree we need to support Elm Creek at this point. We really could use some legit bike parks in the Twin Cities Metro area. Currently the twin cities only really has pretty light duty XC stuff and nothing the rider base can use to build their skills. Typically people have to take trips to places like Colorado to get a challenge. Having a park like this in the Twin Cities metro area would really help to grow the sport and build the skill set in the riding population.

Throwback Thursday: Opinion - The Argument For Short-Travel Bikes
papapendrel, I didn't see the "less is more" thing anywere in this article... or any mention of BMX for whistler gnar. I think what he is getting at is that a rider should "right size" their bike. I have been guilty of riding my DH rig (Flat line) on XC-ish trails with great features and telling myself the whole time it was necessary. I also rode my Transition double on the same trails and had way more fun. The truth is- the trail wasn't nearly as gnarly as I told myself it was. And yes, I rode the same lines on my Double. Now- If I actually had a trail with some hard core gnar on it, I would love to have my DH bike to session it with. I agree completely that the DH rig gives way more confidence, and that confidence carries over to the short travel bikes as well.

The End of Flat Pedals at World Cup Downhills?
I think this is a lot like playing golf- if you try to imitate the good players, and listen to your buddy's advice, you tend to play worse. So, like golf, play the way you think works best and get good at it. If you want to try something different, do it and see how it works... Ignore the trends and stick with what works for you!
