Riding new lines off side o, a 30 foot double and a 25 foot hip I built, self filmed, self edited.... stoked
yo dude, im gonna be back in the bay in about a month and I would love to shred with you venture404 and perhaps do some trail work. Haven't hit side-o in a long ass time. Im super stoked someone finally did something with it to make it anything above average. super sick dude.
yo sick video! my friend and i hit this trail today...started with some cop pulling us over for running thru the steam trains stop sign. absolutely ridiculous. he proceeded to give us a lecture on what trails to we can ride, what we can't, etc. we hit your hip but couldnt find the big 35 footer. is that still there or was it torn down?
That f*ckin sucks was it the Regional Parks PD, its still there as far as i know, its kinda cutty u cant see it from the trail it just looks like a log and a pile of branches its right before the hip in the just after u get off the fire road.
yup a regional parks pd with f*cking shiny black leather boots up to his waist. we have helmet cam of the entire conversation, i'm pretty sure he was gonna ticket us until he saw he was being recorded.
Awesome video! You and the Dustman have to work on a new one together.. Full theme and soundtrack. How about Northstar for three days the weekend of Sept 9th I think. If there open. Take it up with the Dustman.

This is NOT a fun downhill run in the berkeley hills. This is a very dangerous and illegal trail that is never to be ridden by a bicyclist. If you ever were to go to the steam trains in tilden park, make sure that you dont go southbound on grizzly peak and stumble across a clearing on the right hand side of the road. That clearing which is about 1/2 a mile from the steam trains has the beginning of a trail that is perfect for hikers and equestrians but absolutely OFF LIMITS to cyclists.
The trail has dangerous hazards and drops that would require too much skill on the part of a cyclist and sholdn't be attempted. The trail is a winding drop down to UC Berkeley Campus. Along the way you experience just about every kind of terrain, with the exception of sand and rocks. Roots, softpack, hardpack, and fireroads mostly. 80-90 percent singletrack, so remember hikers, yield to equestrians!
If you have any question on how to avoid this dangerous and un-fun trail for cyclists, just ask a local bike mechanic or enthusiast in the area. They will show you exactly where not to go on your bike!
