just noticed the prototype boomslangs on Curtis' bike.. they released them two years later?

So you have a team with troy brosnan and sam hill but yet youd still use these guys to launch a bike...im not saying their bad at all, but using brosnan and hill would increase interest in a launch of a bike!

I know, but my original point was that a launch would get more publicity with two of the best riders in the world, and i understand that theyd be racing on it and thats why them 2 are launching it, but curtis and Brad qualified for 1 maybe 2 world cups where as everyone knows sam and troy...that was my only point.
They also have the claw and soderstrom who used them at rampage...of people i know, more interest has gone into the status after rampage compared to the actual launch, but thats just my opinion, specialized are the ones doing the marketing so ill leave it to their judgement...

for me the status is the bike i always wanted since its out... its like i loved the voltage fr but it breacks alot... than the status came out... and i sayed like... this is it... the bike of my dreams... and it still is just waiting for a chance to get one cuzz its 4 months of paychecks so we arent kidding ...

I recently bought a scalp, I was Originally getting a status but they don't come frame only in the uk and I didn't want the status one, I found my frame for £850 brand new on crc but I was seconds away from buying the status, I think they're amazing bikes and any bike that can do well in rampage is world class. I agree with you, and especially after owning a big hit for 3 years as well I give big respect to anyone who owns a status

ive just bought one, status 2 frame only off here. Collecting her on sunday. I cant wait. I had a glory previously but wanted something i could throw around more, less travel and less weight! Im super exited.

the only negative thing on it its the 135mm spacing rear hub... less rigidity... but i love it anyway ... dont know why but im not very into demo... never liked it too much... before the status came i loved the sx trail lol

Basically he means the rear axle is 135mm wide as opposed to 150mm wide which is standard on most dh bikes, they use it as 135 x 10mm hubs are cheaper, I had it on my big hit and it hasn't made a difference in the stiffness of the frame in the spacings

i notice it a litle bit it was the first thing i nothiced on my bike ... much more stiff ... on carbon frames that makes a larger diference of course
