Got buzzed by an Osprey while climbing Blackstar today

Crazy! Is that over by Camp Pendelton?

It was intense! It was in Blackstar Canyon which is pretty far north of Pendleton, near Irvine Lake. I've seen and heard of smaller military helicopters landing at this spot but never anything like this.

This was at around 6pm. Perfect weather, great day to be out riding!

I passed by a group on my way down around 5:30. I guess you were with that group? I started at around 3pm it was pretty warm. But yeah it got cooler around 4-5ish.
