Le Pleney Black Morzine

Me shredding it down the Pleney main line in Morzine. Has to be my favourite trail! I was riding a hired 650b Devinci Wilson to test it. God it was good!

Hi I was just wondering how you found the new wilson compare to the older 2013 and 14 carbon versions? I have a 14' carbon and I see you have a 13 carbon and I was just wondering how they compare? I have heard they are quite heavy, but I can't find much online about them.... Were you riding the XP spec?
Thanks

Hi mate. I was riding the standard bottom of the range model. I didn't notice it to be particularly heavy, even though I was on an XL. The set up was standard with a charger damper upgrade. The bike felt amazing to me. A lot more stable and the bigger wheels made a massive difference to the way it rode. I felt more comfortable straight away on the bike in not just riding trails but In jumping as well. I absolutely loved it. The set up was rock solid due to it being an XL, however it soaked up the bumps surprisingly well and handled well.

Bottom line.

I was more comfortable and faster on a this hire bike than my own carbon 26" model. And that was in less than a day on the bike. Definitely recommend one!

Ok thanks for the input! I'd be looking at doing the same with the base spec, upgrading to a charger. I'll have to have a look what's in stock around the UK. Thanks Henry

They're not to expensive at the moment as well to be fair. One thing however is the standard brakes on the spec, Sram Guide cooked up pretty quickly riding the steeper tracks in Morzine, so I would recommend an upgrade there. May be worth waiting now for the 2016 model.

Yeah thats what I am weighing up, whether its worth waiting for the 2016 version. Yeah I'd swap out the guides immediately for a set of hopes. The price at the moment is pretty good! Thanks
