2012 Orange 224 Evo - DH bike

That time’s come about when the love for the trail bike is just that much stronger than that for the big rig and uplift laps all day.

This is a 2012 224 Evo - the last year that the 26” DH bike was made. That is the continued evolution of the bike that Steve Peat and Greg Minaar won the World Cup series on back in the day. And you owning this bike will make Aussies and Brits of a certain age go all misty eyed…. I got this bike in 2013, and rode it like twice a year (as I was on the BMX programme more back in the UK then) until moving to Whis in 2017. It’s been ridden since then, so its got some scuffs and marks, and the rear wheel (under a week old!) has got an ugly ding from the first ride out, but it still holds a tyre so…

This was defo a dream build when the bike was new, easily costing $10,000 equivalent when it was new. So now if you want a bike to reliably punch out park laps rather than that second hand demo with all the bearings seized, feel the love with two pivot bearings to ever replace and a Cane Creek in the middle to handle the damping.
