This bike was purchased after a Canyon test day at Revolution Bike Park in Wales. I returned home and immediately tried to order the CF9 I'd ridden but, shock horror, they were out of stock as nearing year end. So, I ordered a CF8 instead. Thinking I was an expert whom can feel the difference between the Boxxer and Fox 40, I swapped out the Rock Shox items for Fox a few months later, replacing with them with 2017 year models. So, this is kind of a CF8, with some CF9 stuff, 2016 / 2017.

This bike was used roughly twice a month during 2017, less in 2018 but only twice last year. Yep, twice in a year ! I'm 40 years old now and don't ride enough these days, life has taken over but as a result, my skill levels and bottle are shot to pieces. I also bought a new enduro bike last year and have been using that instead and tending towards tamer trails (for the most part). The Sender is deserving of someone far better than me and it also needs a life outside of the airing cupboard in which it has been living.

This is an XL bike and, at 6ft 1, it fits me and my 87kg mass pretty well indeed. Here's the spec and please note the items that need attention or will differ from the photos (grips):

- Canyon Sender CF8 2016 Frame (covered with Invisiframe)
- Fox Float 40 Factory 2017 Fork
- Fox Float X2 Factory 2017 Shock
- SRAM Guide brakes
- Renthal Fatbar Carbon
- Ranthal Stem
- SDG Fly seat
- Magic Mary 2.6 Tyres (the grippiest)
- eThirteen LG1+ wheelset
- SRAM X01 mech and shifters
- E13 LG1 cranks
- E13 LG1 chain device - NOTE: this needs a replacement top guide per photo - lost
- RevGrips in photo will be replaced with something half decent
- Rear Guard - broke within a couple of weeks and never replaced (either remove or replace)

The frame is in good condition and covered with Invisiframe. Removing this will reveal niceness underneath - not that it's bad anyway - per photos, its in good condition for a 2016 bike. Give it a proper clean, a de-grease and re-grease et ... voila: awesomeness.

On riding the bike around a car park recently following greasing etc I noticed that it does have a creak at the rear. Since it's the same as the creak on my old Strive, I think the shock could use a service. All bikes make noises but I'd factor in the cost of a service and perhaps re-greasing bearings etc (note I've dropped the asking price as a result).

This bike won't be sent abroad and this is a UK only sale. Collection preferable.
