2018 Fox Factory Float X2 200x51 200x57

This is a 2018 Fox Factory Float X2 configured as 200x51mm for the Santa Cruz Hightower v1. It has 22x8mm RWC needle bearing kit installed on both sides. Both bearings run smoothly and greatly decrease the breakaway force and stiction feeling on the rear suspension of the Hightower. You will notice that large numbers of new bikes are coming with bearing shock mounts for this very reason.

The shock was serviced by Fox and the compression circuit was replaced in June 2020.

The shock only has a hand full of rides on it since the service - as my Hightower frame developed a crack in the top tube. It performs even better than new after the service.

The Float X2 is a massive upgrade in damping feel and control on the Hightower. The OEM Float DPS felt like a pogo stick by comparison.

Also, a suspension expert can remove an internal spacer and increase the travel to 57mm for use in the Hightower LT.
