Late-1990s SCANINI Alu7005 Vanderaerden 58 cm

...an incredible NEW-old-stock find! Eric Vanderaerden was a Belgian great, winner of Tour de France stages and Classics like the Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix. He is honored by the small builder from his home country with this fantastic-looking aluminum frame. Unfortunately, the frame was missing the bolt-on derailleur hanger, and the companies that supply replacements were no help to me at all, so I built the bike up as a Campagnolo single speed.

Campagnolo components, including: CRANKSET- Chorus (175mm with Vuelta 42t chainring), BRAKE LEVERS- Chorus, BRAKES- Athena monoplaner and HEADSET- Athena; HANDLEBAR- Cinelli Criterium (38cm) with NEW cork bar tape, STEM- Cinelli 1A (105mm), SADDLE- Velo, WHEELSET- (front) Wolber semi-aero rim and Campagnolo Record hub, (rear) Weinmann 2314 semi-aero rim, Gipiemme hub and DNP 16t single-speed freewheel, with Forte Pro+ tires
