1992 Trek 8900 Composite (Carbon/Spectra front frame tubes, rear end and lugs aluminum)
18” Frame, 1996 Z2 Marzocchi Bomber with removable crown and 1 1/8 steer tube (threaded, needs seals, but feels smooth and in good shape) Answer ATAC alloy Quill stem(~120mm) and Easton butted hyper lite bar (old school narrow), ONZA bar ends, Titec 27.2 alloy seatpost.
1st year XTR 3x8 M900 group, canti brakes, Tange Sekei threaded 11/8 headset in good shape, bearings smooth, shifts well, everything works, in good shape for the vintage.
Trek single track rims (made by Sun), stainless spokes, XTR hubs, straight and true, newer all around tires.
There is some minimal galvanic corrosion at the downtube/bb junction, but in great shape overall. Low miles unit, bike has lots of miles in it yet, pedals not included.
Collect it, restore it, ride it, strip it for parts and resell what you don’t need-choose your adventure!
These parts will sell for at least what I’m asking for the whole deal, and you can hang the frame on the wall if you wish-I’ve got too many projects, clearing my garage.
