2021 Unridden New Mongoose Tyax AM Hardtail

A great deal for a brand new, unused bike that comes out to be about $420 under MSRP after tax. 27.5 wheels. Trail geometry. 12 speed, tubeless, and air suspension.


If you're in the market for a trail/AM hardtail for yourself or someone else, the Mongoose Tyax Expert is better spec than the Trek Marlin 7 and Giant Talon 1 (both approx $1k) as they are 10 speed, old standard QR 100/135mm dropouts, non-tapered headtube, and are not tubeless compatible. Mongoose advertises this as a women's model, but the geometry is that of an extra small frame but with the benefit of 27.5 wheels instead of 26", which many brands are reverting back to in order to break into the kids bike market. Based on the seat-tube length, the reach, and stand-over height, the bike is best suited for 4'10"-5'4". I think this would make for a great teen grom bike.
