I’ve decided to part with my XL Banshee Prime V2. I have used this frame as a backup for 3 seasons and really enjoyed it. I bought a Titan and have realized I will not likely build this one up again, so it is time for a new home.

I am the second owner of this frame and purchased it on Pinkbike buy/sell. Would guess it is a 2017. It came raw and had some goofy stickers on it which I pulled off. Rode it with no logos for a year and then put the simple ebay decals you see on it. The are peeling a bit in a few places. I have some backups that I can send along with it.

The good:
Thing is a tank, will last for years to come. Good geometry, which is still relevant for an all mountain rig. https://www.bansheebikes.com/past-model-archive. It is a true XL. I am 6’3 and it was one of the larger / longer bikes I have been on (despite the reach on paper not looking that long). Rode it with a 150 pike and a 160 lyrik and liked it both ways. Always left the flip chip in the low position. The cane creek dbair works great with the frame and is very adjustable (this is the shock that came with it, so all I know). While it will build up a bit heavy, the pedaling characteristics are very calm and the only time I noticed the weight is pulling it off the rack. While it has some dirt on it, grease from chain, and normal scratches – there are no dents or cracks or major issues. The bearings all sound smooth and I have never had the need to service them.

The bad:
The previous owner took off the paint (not sure how, but would guess sanding). I just assumed it was a raw frame, even when I first got it, and didn’t notice that it was stripped until I saw another raw prime in person (which has stickers under a clear coat). You will see a bit of a mixed finished which I believe is just some oxidation. I haven’t noticed a change in the look/finish over the last few years. You can easily sand it to get a cleaner or more polished look. I started on a chainstay, it looked good, but was a lot of work, so I gave up. Also the cane creek will need a service soon, so anticipate $200 there. I serviced it once and have ridden it for about a year since. Not making noise yet or having any issues, but just be aware that time is coming within a few more months of hard riding and the cane creeks are a bit more to service than other shocks. One of the bottle cage bolts also stripped. So I put a larger bolt in there which is holding strong and plan to ship it to you with the cage on. I'm sure you could re-tap it more professionally or just not run a cage.

While it has a few oddities, this thing rips, has a lot of life left in it, and you will enjoy it. Reach out with any questions. $700. Includes frame, rear axle, seat clamp, and headset. Happy to ship at buyers expense (I will cover the PayPal fees).
