2021 Giant Talon 1 XS (Upgraded)

For sale is my younger brother's Giant Talon 1 which he has ridden and upgraded since purchasing the bike new in May 2021. It has been upgraded with a set of Shimano Deore 2 piston brakes which are far superior to the stock Tektro ones which leaked out of the box. The stock tires have been changed for Maxxis Minion DHF's which are far more suited to wet weather riding. As well as this the bike comes with a set of DMR deathgrips and DMR v12 pedals.
There is quite a lot of aesthetic marks on the bike due to being well used by a young rider who might not think to care about not scratching the bike. The worst of these are on the seat stays and on the side of the downtube.
Prior to sale the bike has been given a full teardown and service. All the bearings run smooth with no play and as such the bike is a smooth ride with no annoying rattles. The shift cable has been replaced and the shifting from the Shimano Deore 10spd drivetrain is spot on every time.
The quick release seat clamp on this bike is one with a larger handle than standard which makes raising and lower the saddle much easier for younger riders.
The Giant own brand forks have an air spring which means the spring rate can be set very low to suit a lighter rider. This gives the bike a huge advantage over others bikes at this price point which often come with a coil fork that is way too stiff.

Brakes: Shimano Deore 2 piston with 180mm rotors front and rear
Drivetrain: Shimano Deore 10spd with 11-42t cassette
Cranks: 170mm square taper with 30t chainring
Wheels: Double wall 21mm internal width rims on quick release hubs
Tyres: Maxxis DHF 2.3inch with a 3c compound in the front
Forks: Giant SXC-32 with an air spring, rebound adjust and a hydraulic lockout

The bike retails for 900 quid new so grab yourself a bargain.
