FUNK Cycles La Ruta Size Large
29” or 27.5”+
60mm pivotless rear travel
Frame includes Factory Serviced Fox Rear Shock, 125mm Fox Factory External 30.9 Dropper, Salsa Seat Collar and 2 Degree Works Components UK Headset
Built in Dec 2019 by Craig Sata in Fort Collins, CO

Specs very close to FUNK’s standard size large. I can send you a pdf of the as-built CAD drawing. https://www.funkcycles.com/275plus29laruta
Update: I’ve added the drawing to the pics. I deleted the under downtube bottle mount on the final build.

The head tube with a standard 44mm headset is 70 degrees with a 120 fork, measured 69.4 with a 130. Included is a Works Components UK 2 degree offset headset which slackens the angles to 68 and 67.4 depending on fork travel.

I rode this frame all of 2020, then had Craig build me another a bit longer and slacker that better suited me. It’s been hanging up for 2 years. Craig is no longer with FUNK, but he built more of these than anyone over 17 years. His welds are beautiful. Checkout his bio on satabikes.com. I still ride my newer La Ruta as my primary bike.

The frame is currently bead blasted with custom blue/purple/pink fade anodized logos. There’s a few minor scratches and cable rub but your cables will probably rub the same spots. No dings or dents that I’ve found.

The great thing about titanium is it’s a blank slate - you could have a shiny new scotch brite finish in an hour, or have it bead blasted again and use vinyl decals. I have the FUNK logo templates if you want to refinish with vinyl decals.

There’s no internal dropper routing as the under top tube cable routing really cleanly suited an external dropper.

I’ve added pics of a 29x2.6 Forecaster with the Paragon sliders pushed all the way forward and all the way back. I run my other La Ruta all the way forward with these tires with no clearance issues.

Frame was $5k new with the curved tubing options. Will ship within the lower 48 for $2,500.
$2,500 USD
