Wonderful Trek made in the Waterford Wisconsin "barn" (1st location of Trek made products).
I am the 2nd owner and when I received it the paint was very ratty so the re-furb project was born.
I remember seeing this in CycleWorks in Ashland Or when I was 15 and this was always on my wish list - wonderful craftmanship and rides beautifully ( and a 56cm! usually you see this things on the waybig/small end).
Is this a cheap ass repaint scam? No, I stand by my work and have many friends in the cycling community (been in the shop/AM/OE scene since 88).
Stripped, electrostatically cleaned/sealed then powder coated @ Eastside Plating in Portland.
Deep blue w/ clear/light sparkle clear coat. New decals from VeloCals. It really gleams in the sun shine.

This is a 710 so that means the sports geometry (longer chain stays) and the Reynolds 531 tube set (silver brazing - much nicer than brass).
I did have it built up w/ the original Shimano Deore touring kit (w/ dyna drive pedals!) and if that is more your jam then that's just a swap away from happening. Old controls are cool but wanted to have it w/ STI shifters, modern gearing and dual pivot brakes for safety.

If you have any questions - fire away.
For sure the buyer will want to take it for a good test ride so totally game for that action if in the Seattle area.
Some buyers will be interested in Frek(ing) it to 650b and have wheels (42mm tires) to pop on to check clearances.
