Been riding all my life and started dirt in '82 when I lived @ Mammoth. Been in the bike industry since '86. Been all aspects of the IBD shop side to National/International AM and OE side so seen and thing or two. Have had the great honor of working with Sam Patterson (am in Sram), Felix Gimondi, Kelly McGregor, Joe Breeze, Peter Sagan and many others. Also just about every major PM in NA. Amazing the places life takes you.

Inside Propain Bikes - From a Chairlift Dream to an International Brand
I don’t want/need an e-bike so I’m Pro Pain. Maybe when I’m in my 70’s or when I can think up some wussies excuse. Until then, earn your downs.

Bontrager Road Lite / Campagnolo build

$1400 USD
Hello, Hands down one of the most iconic brands of the 90’s before Trek (oh Klein and Gary Fisher of yore). This frame/fork is in near new condition and was made in the desired Santa Cruz location. Is the $ high? Not really since you can always make more money but you can’t make more Road Lites (especially in this near pristine condition). Basically you get it or you don’t. If you do you understand the allure of this legendary frame/fork. 51cm c-c ST, 58cm c-c TT (effective), 130 OLD, 26.8 post, 28.6 clamp, 1” threaded fork, 68mm BSA bb. Gussets galore, plate steel drop outs and near new original powder coating/decals. Campagnolo Record 9.speed ergo shifters. Campagnolo Chorus f/r derail, 172.5 53/39 cranks, headset, hubs and cogs Campagnolo Athena dual pivot calipers Mavic Open Pro 36 hole rims Cinelli 10cm stem SBC S-Works Turbo 28mm tires Dimension (QBP brand) compact 42cm bar Origin8 post (could not find Bontrager - oh well) Saddle/pedals/cages - me keep Questions - fire away. If shipping then that $ is for you to cover via Bikeflights. Thanks and ride safe.

The New Giant Faith is the Kids' Bike We Wish We Had
Says Faith retails for $2,600 USD, or $2,500 for the Faith 24. No doubt that is MSRP (which is always high). Wonder what MAP (minimal advertised price) is since that is what shops will have them marked @ on the floor.

@zarban: adverse to hardening up your effort/skillset? It’s a meat powered hard tail - it’s supposed to be not the soft/wimpy way ya know.
