A Pinarello in Intense clothing (Tucson AZ)

When famed California mountain bike company Intense decided they were going to get into the road bike market, they chose to contract out the manufacturing task to a little outfit named Pinarello. The result was a flat-out racer called the Fenix. As a limited-production machine, I was privileged to get one. This obsessively-maintained and lightly ridden bike is a modified Pinarello F4:13. The modified part is the absence of Pinarello's kind of ugly (IMHO) Onda fork and seat stays, arguably making the bike a bit stiffer - and better looking.

The Intense Fenix is a fast, tight-geometry lightweight racer with crisp handling and lightning acceleration. SRAM Force 22 groupset, with 50/34 crank and 11-32 cassette. It's also an outstanding climber with an Absolute Black oval 34 inner chainring and 165mm crankarms for efficient power transfer - plus it's easier on your knees. Recent custom built carbon wheelset by Fairfield Cycle with Easton R4 straight-pull racing hubs, new bearings and titanium skewers. New Chris King bottom bracket in matching anodized red. FSA 100mm alloy stem in matching Fenix paint scheme with carbon clamping plate and Easton E100 carbon bar - 42 cm. Carbon seatpost and saddle. New Specialized S-Works Gripton racing tires. Carbon bottle cages complete the picture. Bike comes with spare (Pinarello) derailleur hanger, tires and an extra 3D printed carbon saddle.

Selling because I'm pedaling a little more sedate ride with electronic shifting - put it down to age. Asking $2550 USD or $2750 if you also want the Dura-Ace carbon pedals (not included at base price) - open to reasonable offers.
