New land speed record 130.7mph! what's the fastest you have ever gone?

I was just reading mountain bike action the Jan. 08 issue and I was reading this article on Markus Stoeckl a sponsered athelete for red bull and he set the new world speed record in the downhill mountain bike class. He was riding on an intense bike I couldn't make out what model it was but he shattered the old 8 year record by 14 miles an hour setting the bar at 130.7 mph. He did it in the Andes on a high speed snow track at some ski resort. I has gone fast but not near that, I just wanna know how fast some of you out there have gone? anyone close to this?lol

it was an intense m6.

i had a spedometer on my bike a while ago and i think i went 55kpm so by now id say 60 kph.

35 MPH probly, not km . gone faster on skiis Big Grin i dunno. that one brm on a line afeter that long bumpy section right before lower aline i feel like im going sooooo fast when i rail it. its amazing

^For those who haven't seen it. He was ripping and on snow CRAZY. The fastest I have gone so far is 124km/h on skis.

I went to the top of a street near where I live, with my DH bike. On one of the steeper sections, got to 140 Km/h. That's pretty fast if you ask me. And, well, you did.

Somehow thats hard to believe, 140 km/h, road bikes only travel like 100 km down long hills, and if u did get 140 km/h U must of hard a very long steep hill.

The reason why most of us DH is so we can go fast. Why try not to do what you want to do?

Ye I do dh, but there is a certain speed that becomes too fast, I think the absolute fastest people go on a dh course is like 60 km/h, and u went 2 and a half times faster!
