What tyres are people using atm? I'm getting the new Trance SX hopefully and it comes in the UK with High Roller II rear and DHF front, but I'm thinking maybe a Rock Razor and Hans Dampf setup for the summer. Opinions?
High rollers front and rear but you definitely feel the added weight when climbing and the added grip when pedaling through the not as steep sections. Both are 2.4 but if you are willing to muscle through on the way up they definitely reward you in the way down.

I use HR2 rear and Minion DHF front on my DH bike. It's a great combo, but they are definitely downhill oriented. Probably too much for regular trail use. I just bought a 2015 Trance so I'm interested to see how the stock Nobby Nicks do once the snow melts.
I just got the pike on my trance 3. If you go 160 just be advised it is a huge change in how it steers. It almost feels like riding a sportbike with asteering damper if you are familiar with that. As for tube size it is a standard tapered for the 3 model and below. That is 1 1/2 to 1 1/8. If your bike is od2 it is 1 1/2 - 1 1/4 I believe.
I own a giant trance 27.5 3 2014 and wanting to upgrade the fork
160 or 150mm and I was thinking rockshox pike?
What's the steerer tube dimensions?
The steerer tube is a regular taper, 1 1/8th to 1 1/2 inches. I would definitely recommend getting the pike since it's an outstanding fork, but I would go with with the 150mm version so you can get a bit more travel without having to put up with the wandering that can come with a much longer fork. The 160mm fork would also be worse than the 150mm version in tight corners as well. Go for it though, it's a really good fork.
I put a 150 on and it puts the bb at 13.5", which I feel is the sweet spot. I measured my buddies SX with 160 at 13.75", which is too high for my tastes these days.
