Review: Fox Union Boa - My New Favorite Shoes, Despite One Fatal Flaw
I went back to flats for a bit, but had these before. I found the toe of my front foot would hit my crank arm in attack position when attempting to release. This wasn’t an issue with Shimano, which curved upward and would clear the crank.
I turned the cleats to release earlier for the Unions, but the problem never fully went away.
What did I do wrong?

They didn't state what rotor thickness you're using? Was it the 1.8s?
I've got them running Sram HS2s in the 2.0 thickness, which gives a lot of power in the most progressive setting with little deadband
