Low bb bikes without some kind “flip chip” to raze the bb make crappie mullet bikes. IMO the sentinel bb hight is questionable on anything but a small frame. The longer the wheel base, the more you need to raze the bb to cut peddle strikes for tech climbs.
Has anyone considered going the other way? I have a 2015 Scout and have been pondering a 29" from wheel with 120mm forks. A lot of dough to prove the concept so just wondered if something similar has been tried.
I own a Trek 69er and swapped the fork on a Fuel EX at one point. The front gets a bit floppy, imho. To get a better sense of it, I would do something like a 2.8 front and 2.3ish rear so that you dont have to get new fork/wheel etc. (I currently run a 2.8/2.6 on my Patrol and love it)
Have to admit I am surprised they are planning on offering alloy bikes. After the all carbon sentinel v2 release, I figured they were running up market for good… sadly none of the new bikes will be available till the end of summer. Trek released the 2021 Slash and people could buy it, transition releases bikes and they will have bikes to sell in September. Kinda fuct up IMO.

Was thinking about a deposit on a new Capra MX but it’s so far out. New Patrol is really appealing, better balanced geo... my local shop is sold out of the XT build though, sucks, really prefer Fox and Shimano.
