Ok this upcoming spring/summer (whenever im done building my sunday and once i get my sunday) im going to get into DH races. My only dilema is trying to find a good pair of riding goggles.
okleys for sure! they have a nice selection of goggles and they're all super comfy but they cum at a price however as do most things so i guess the goggles u get depend on how much u want to spend..i spent like $200 on a pair of okley crowbar goggles myself but u get what u pay for...I HOPE smith and spy are also some of my favorites
I rarely race with goggles, but when I do (mudfests or dustfests) I just use an old pair of clear lensed ski goggles. Really I don't think that the type of goggles you use really matters as long as they don't fog up and fit properly. (Though those ones with multiple layers of the plastic that you can just peel off during a race is pretty cool)
I paid $90 for a pair of Oakley Crowbars and like them so far. I havn't had them for to long but they havn't fogged up on me once and are really comfortable so far.
In all reality, goggles are goggles. I've used a pair of $20 Scott goggles and now my $170 Dragon's. And to be honest, I notice ZERO difference between the two while riding.
I am riding with a red Scott nosweat XI goggle, decently high end motocross goggle (nothing super fancy, but not the bare minimum) with a single clear lens, and they work great and look killer. I think they retail for around 65 CAD.
