custom. it was from the factory like that. (and it wasn't 5000 new! ahha) i got it for 3 even brand new!

Thanks -- they're Mavic DeeMax wheels - had to use Kona's QR conversion kit for the rear through-axle, and then also use Mavic's QR conversion kit in order to be able to keep the D.O.P.E. floating brake caliper system operative. The parts add up to about an extra $100 USD or so, depending on the skewer you use.

I think I got the wheels two years ago (for my old 2004 Stinky Dee-Lux) for about $600 USD. I saw where the price tag for the new 2009 DeeMax wheels is going to be about $900 or so!!!Eek
