I'm thinking of either getting an E13 LG1 or an MRP G2 chain guide.... which do you think is better overall?

depends what you are looking to do. g2 is lighter but you can't run a bash. lg1 can have a bash. i have a g2. it looks wicked and it is pretty simple. they're really, really similar. i'd go with the best deal.

Don't really need a full bash (taco's fine) considering it's going to be used for DH racing. But both i can get for around the same price.... so i'm in a jam.

the taco on the e.13 looks rad but my vote's for the g2. it's lighter and impacts are on the slider as opposed to the chain and chainring.

I have the lg1 and its pretty flawless. They are pretty much the same design but the lg1 does come in different colors for some customization if you're into that sort of thing.

Lighter, simpler, stronger. ...same price. All the hardware is captive (no losing bolts), and the chain can be removed without pieces flying all over the place. Did I also mention the Taco bash is designed to absorb impacts?

They'll be shipping at the end of the month. Plus, if you have any questions I check my email all day long, and usually respond within a few hours. Hows that? tup

Phil has the price gone up?

Price remains the same for 2009. We've all been working very hard to make the LG1+ and SRS+ the best possible guide hands down for the money. All of the new features make installing and maintaining the guide so much easier, and fit so many more frames with one backplate.

All 2009 guides are shipping with our new Tech 3 roller. The new material is much more durable to both the elements and chemicals, so it will last much longer.

Later guys!
