No, they would be lying, because I am a HUGE bike geek.

alright question, i have a old road wheel some guy left at the shop i worked at. DURAACE hub, its true an stuff. worth anything?

What's the model number? It should say something like "RH-7700" or "FH-7700" (depending on whether it's a front or a rear). Dura Ace is Shimano's top-end road bike gruppo, but the age of the hub will determine its value.

Foes, Intense, Devenchi, Turner, Dobermann, Commencal make their own bikes.

Devinci (not Devenchi) make their own bikes in Canada (quebec)

Foes and Intense make their own bikes in the States (USA)

don't know about Dobermann

but both Turner and Commencal do not have their own production facilities

Turner are made in the USA by Anodising, and Commencal in Taiwan

That sucks about Commencal
At least Foes is made in the States
Dobermann is made in Canada by a 3 man operation

The frame is made by the process of Anodising? Neat.

unfortunately not, if only it was that easy...

the frame fabricator for Turner is Sapa in the USA (Portland, OR), who also make Santa Cruz's VPP frames

Santa Cruz's single pivots like the Heckler is made in Taiwan

I don't think all of the VPP SC bikes are made in the US. My Nomad2 is made in Taiwan, while my V-10.3 is made in the US.

Unfortunately SC has all of their frames built overseas now. Helps keep the prices where they are. Up until very recently there were a few frames still being produced in America.

they should adjust the prices for vpp bikes than

Guess my ano V-10.3 must have been one of the last ones. I hear they are dropping the ano frames as well. My new bike's a dinosaur already, lol. I thought they were still doing one of their models in the US though??

$1850 for a Nomad 2 isn't cheap enough for you? I'd say that's a pretty smoking deal for a bike of that caliber.
